A new product that is already on the market for purchase
Bodegas Xaló is always in the process of innovation and looking for ways to improve its products to offer its customers the latest developments in the market, and in this case to the Bahía de Dénia wine family, another limited edition barrel-fermented wine is added. El Mirall de La Marina has visited this winery, an emblem in the Marina Alta, to learn about this new product that is already being marketed in the market. Its president, José Juan Reus, explains that Bodegas Xaló lacked a barrel-fermented muscat, since they have dry, fruity, sweet and mistelas wines.
“I told the oenologist why not make a wine with these characteristics when having a good muscatel. An idea that he welcomed with enthusiasm and we began to develop it ”, highlights the president. The new Bahía de Dénia is presented with a very original new image created by the illustrator from Benissa, Alba López Soler, where it reflects the silhouette of the Montgó mountain and the sea in the background. With a limited edition of 1,500 bottles, where the customer can choose it loose or with a case with two bottles.
According to the winemaker, Sergio Balaguer, with this dry white Muscat wine we wanted to distinguish ourselves and do something new. So it is fermented for 5 months in French oak barrels and after the clarification and filtration process, it is bottled for two months. The new vintage of this wine, Balaguer specifies, is “totally different from the other, because it gives it that specialty of the barrel. With notes of citrus, which also reminds us of that orange frost, but with that predominance of muscatel ”. An excellent wine that will be very popular with those who decide to taste it and visit Bodegas Xaló.
